My Vision

With a background in anti-hunger, environmental policy, energy justice, equitable education, and most recently disaster resilience, I bring a wealth of experience leading collaborative programs and policies. I anticipate acquiring my License in Massage Therapy in April 2025.

I value authenticity, hard work, community listening, and fighting on behalf of kids’ well being and for what’s right in our education system. I stand for racial, economic, and social justice in all aspects of education and the school board. I believe in the autonomy of parents, while also valuing the collective good and public health. Teachers are one of our society’s greatest assets and leaders, and should be treated as such.

I’m running on four main aspirations:

  1. Pay teachers their worth.

  2. Incorporate climate change, social justice, arts, and modern skills in curriculum.

  3. Invest in strong afterschool programming.

  4. Create opportunities for schools to become disaster resilience hubs.

Especially with  what’s going on with disinvestments at the federal level, we must take a stand for our children. When we prioritize our kids, we help our democracy, economy, and culture. I am here to talk and listen to anyone. Vote for me and vote for our kids’ well being and success, so that we can all thrive.

I believe in trans kids’ rights. I believe in equity, diversity, and inclusion. I believe in healthy and accessible school meals, including Universal School Meals, backpack programs, breakfast in the classroom, SNAP for kids, and WIC. I believe in restorative justice over punitive actions that only encourage the school-to-prison pipeline.
